Whitingham Maple Festival

When:
March 25, 2017 – March 26, 2017 all-day
Where:
Whitingham, VT

The Maple Festival celebrates an important aspect of Whitingham’s economic and cultural heritage. Seven of the eighteen Whitingham sugar makers will graciously open the doors of their sugar houses and give their time so that residents, visitors and guests alike will gain a better understanding and appreciation for “the art and science” of maple syrup and sugar making and the historical importance of “sugaring” in their town. The town also hosts a craft fair and horse drawn sleigh rides on Saturday  and Sunday,  pancake breakfasts and luncheons both days, and a sugar-on-snow supper Saturday evening. The town is located in southern Vermont , between Bennington and Brattleboro, VT,  25 miles north of Greenfield, Massachusetts. There are a number of Bed & Breakfasts and small inns in and around town.  Whitingham is the birthplace of Brigham Young and there are two monuments in town noting Young’s achievements.
