VMSMA Annual Meeting
The 2008 Annual Business Meeting and Banquet of the Vermont Maple Sugar Makers' Association will once again be held at the Vermont Farm Show in Barre this coming January 29, 2008 (Tuesday). Anyone interested is invited to attend the banquet, but only current members of the organization can participate in voting on business decisions at this meeting.
Each year there are many prestigous awards given out during this banquet, such as the "Sugarmaker of the Year Award" given by VMSMA to one of their deserving members, the "Maple Person of the Year Award" given out by the Vermont Maple Industry Council and the "Sumner H. Williams Award", where the reciprent of this award is choosen by the President of VMSMA and VMIC for their life time of dedication to the Vermont maple industry. Ribbons for the maple syrup and products contest held during the Vermont Farm Show are also presented at this time.
