Holiday Cooking with Vermont Maple
Vermont maple syrup can play a role in so many more dishes than just your holiday breakfasts of pancakes, waffles, or French toast! We love it with savory flavors on chicken, pork, and salmon — try something different for the holiday season like Maple-Chipotle Steak Tacos or Roasted Lemon Maple Chicken!
Another great use for Vermont maple syrup is in side dishes and it is a fabulous compliment to the earthy-sweet flavors of root vegetables, like in our Maple & Mustard Roasted Root Veggies or Brussels Sprouts & Carrots with Maple.
And of course, Vermont maple is delicious in your holiday desserts. It wouldn’t be the holidays in our homes if we didn’t serve Maple Harvest Custard or a simple maple-sweetened whipped cream with pumpkin pie!
To Make Maple Whipped Cream:
Pour two cups of heavy cream in bowl and mix at medium speed. Drizzle in about 1/3 cup Vermont Maple Syrup (preferably Grade A Dark Amber or Grade B) and continue mixing until soft peaks form. Serve immediately.
