The Vermont Maple Experience

We might be biased, but we know that Vermont maple syrup is delicious.  And we know that it is one of the most healthy sweeteners you can find, with higher counts of manganese, riboflavin, zinc, and magnesium than white cane sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup or even honey.  Not only does it pack a wallop of fantastic flavor, but it’s also loaded with minerals and vitamins.  After all, pure Vermont maple syrup has but one ingredient: the sap from a maple tree.

Watch the latest in our video series about how maple syrup has become synonymous with Vermont, being not just a vital part of the Green Mountain State’s agriculture but a part of the lifestyle as well.  Vermont maple syrup has so many uses and Vermonters have found a great many new and novel ways to use maple syrup, from Vermont Creamery’s Maple and Sea Salt Butter to Lawson’s Finest Liquids brewing multiple Vermont maple beers to the many micro distilleries in Vermont who use maple syrup or sap as the base for their spirits.

A great place to begin learning about these many wonderful specialty food producers is at DigInVT.com.  While the cover photo for this post is a stack of pancakes with Vermont maple syrup, there are so many more possibilities for Vermont maple syrup than just pancakes!
