Beginning in 2018, VMSMA and NOFA-VT partnered with Shelburne Farms, Green Mountain Farm to School, Drift Farmstead, and the Center for an Agricultural Economy to better connect sugar makers and schools. Over the course of more than two years, this project sought to increase maple sales to schools and to expand educational opportunities for students to learn about how maple is made. We have developed educational materials and procurement templates to help you navigate the school purchasing process and strengthen relationships with the schools in your community.
