USS VERMONT Day at the State House

The USS VERMONT Support Group is hosting USS VERMONT Day 2026 in the Card Room at the State House on April 17th from 0800 to 1400. We'll be sharing images and videos of the USS VERMONT SSN 792 and her Crew's most recent accomplishments. As a token of our appreciation for the support from Legislators and others like the VMSMA and VSFA for the VSG, we'll provide Maple Sugar cookies from Michelle's Sweet Creations in the shape of a submarine with the boat's nickname, "Big Sugar," in piping on them along with a variety of chocolate squares from Lake Champlain Chocolates. Thanks to our partners at the VMSMA, we've continued the tradition of introducing all newly assigned USS VERMONT Submariners to their namesake's most iconic flavor with a pint of Pure Vermont Maple Syrup in a Sunshine Bag as they begin their tour on board Big Sugar as Honorary Vermonters. We hope to see you there!
