Fradettes Maple Syrup

Log cabin sugarhouse with full facilities and wood stove to warm by. Located on well maintained road just off route 16 in East Hardwick. Woods are available for snowshoeing or cross country skiing with roads throughout the woods marked with signs. Rail Trail runs directly behind the sugarhouse. This year we have approximately 11,500 taps, use an RO and boil by oil. Sugarhouse is large with plenty of room for visitors, canning room and often hosts school children tours.

Open House Activities
Stop by for a tour of our operation. Bring your snowshoes and take a walk through our sugar woods along the roads named after our grandchildren. Return to the sugarhouse for maple treats including a fresh hot syrup sample, sugar on snow, maple soda, and other maple goodies. Warm up around the wood stove and visit with friends and our family. Not up for a hike in the woods? No problem, gather around the arch and watch the sap boil (weather permitting) and smell the sweetness. Warm up inside our living area by the wood stove. Kid friendly and full description of the sugaring process to all visitors.

Open House Directions
We are located just off from Route 16 in East Hardwick, Vermont on a well maintained road straight to the sugarhouse.



I-89: From the North - Take exit 8, Montpelier, to Route 2 east. From the South – Take exit 7, Berlin/Barre to Route 62 east. Go straight through three sets of lights. At the fourth light, take a left on to 302 west. Just before the fifth light, bear right onto Route 2 east.



Route 2 East - Bear left onto Route 14 east in East Montpelier. Route 14 will take you to the traffic light in Hardwick. See Hardwick directions below.



From Morrisville/Stowe Area: Follow Route 15 east into Hardwick. See Hardwick directions below.



From Danville/St. Johnsbury Area: Follow Route 15 west to East Hardwick. Take a right onto Route 16 just past the Moose Horn Café. Travel approximately 3.4 miles. Claire-a-Den Farm will be on your right, Kingdom Creamery on your left. Take a right onto Arsene Avenue. Continue up the road until you reach the sugarhouse.



From Hardwick: At the light, take Route 15 east. This is Main Street. At the Y, bear right onto Mill Street (Route 15). Travel approximately 2 miles to the junction of Route 15 & 16. Take a left onto Route 16 and travel 3.4 miles. Claire-a-Den Farm will be on your right, Kingdom Creamery on your left. Take a right onto Arsene Avenue. Continue up the road until you reach the sugarhouse.
