Gagne Maple Purchases Maple City Candy

This winter The St Albans Messenger highlighted Gagne Maple’s purchase of Maple City Candy and its subsequent move to Gagne’s Highgate facility. Abigail Gagne recently received her business degree from Norwich College and jumped right into managing the candy business, noting that “I love showing young girls that there are women in agriculture,” Abigail said. “I love growing this place. I love bringing in new people and showing them what we do.”

VMSMA has purchased our Big E maple candy from Maple City Candy for the past two years. Now with the Gagnes at the helm, they also created a special “Big E” block of maple candy for the 2025 fair.
